The past year has definitely been a long road. Lots of research, reading, experimenting, learning, and finally shooting. I know I still got a long way to go, but feel I have come a long way over the past year. A few friends came to me with the idea of shooting some of the club cars from Backyard Turbo (local club created by a good group of friends) and I accepted.
Some of the shots can be found here: jlohne.deviantart.com/gallery/…
Overall I felt I did good for my first attempt. Although there were a few things standing in my way: The sun was directly above since we had to shoot at a specific time of day, and happened to be a bad time of day, It was very hot and humid so holding a camera and shooting wasn't easy, third I have never done this before.
One thing I realized was I need to learn how to use my flash better, Most shots there were hot spots from the sun and from the flash which in my mind sort of ruined some of the shots in the full shoot which can be found here:jefflohne.com/gallery/modelsho…
All in all it was a great experience and I hope to achieve better results as I shoot more and learn and upgrade my equipment as I go.
any comments, suggestions, critiques are welcomed as I am aspiring to get better, so be honest and truthful.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my first real photography shoot experience.. Stay tuned for more.
